Questions, answered
How does per-seat pricing work?
You pay for people, not floors. A seat is a team member who can sign in; you can build as many floors and rooms as you like on every paid plan. Guests visiting your guest spaces are always free.
What happens when my team outgrows the Free plan?
Nothing breaks. Your floor stays exactly as it is — you'll just be prompted to upgrade before adding a ninth member. Upgrading takes about a minute and keeps all layouts, chat history, and settings.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?
Yes, any time. Switching to yearly applies the discount immediately and credits any unused monthly time. Switching back takes effect at the end of your current billing year.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or education?
Yes — registered nonprofits and educational institutions get 50% off Team and Business plans. Write to us from your organisation's domain and we'll set it up.
What does self-hosting involve?
A single VPS with Docker is enough for most teams: media server, application server, and reverse proxy ship as one compose stack. We publish a full runbook, and Business-tier support covers self-hosted deployments too.
Is my audio and video recorded?
Not unless you ask. Calls are encrypted in transit and never stored by default. Recording and AI transcription are opt-in per room, clearly indicated to everyone present, and deletable at any time.
How does recording consent work?
Recording is off by default. When a host turns it on, every participant sees a persistent indicator, and guests must consent before joining a room that records. Anyone can see, afterwards, exactly what was captured.
How long do you keep recordings, transcripts, and summaries?
As long as your plan's retention allows and your admins choose — retention windows are configurable per workspace, and admins or participants can delete any recording, transcript, or summary instantly. Self-hosted deployments keep everything on your own infrastructure.
What's built in, and what's an integration?
Meetings, recordings, AI notes, task boards, and team messaging are native capabilities included on every plan — tiers differ in limits, never in whether they exist. Integrations are external connections only: Google Calendar and Calendly today.
