Terms of service

Last updated: 1 June 2026

1.The agreement

These terms govern your use of Remote Desk's hosted service and software. By creating an account or deploying a self-hosted instance, you accept them on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your organisation.

2.Your workspace, your content

You retain all rights to content created in your workspace — floors, messages, and uploads. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service: storing, transmitting, and displaying that content to the people you've shared it with.

3.Acceptable use

Don't use Remote Desk to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, or harass people. Don't probe, disrupt, or overload the service or attempt to access other customers' workspaces.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.

4.Billing

Paid plans are billed per user, monthly or annually, in advance. Trials convert only with your explicit action — we don't collect a card to start one. You can cancel any time; service continues to the end of the paid period and we don't offer partial-period refunds except where required by law.

5.Service and availability

We operate the hosted service with commercially reasonable care; Business plans carry a specific uptime SLA. Planned maintenance is announced in advance. The service is provided 'as is' to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6.Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability under these terms is capped at the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7.Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes are announced at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
