Is chat an integration with another product?

No. Chat is built into Remote Desk. Channels, DMs, threads and search are part of the office itself.

Which plans include chat?

Every plan, including Free. Plans differ in how much message history is kept; see pricing for the limits.

Can I chat without joining a room or a call?

Yes. Chat works without taking a seat or turning on a microphone. Presence makes chat better; it is not a prerequisite.
